DISASSEMBLY AND ASSEMELY
Remove upper housing screws in housing,
screws in
end cover.
Rotate
maximum before removing housing of M-B.
inspection window and telescope
(M-3) .
Check before replacing housing.
Clean the eye piece (M-6).
Set housing aside.

Remove 5 screws holding motor haif of rate end

In the M-6 remove the pin connecting the bell
crank
to the cross trail rack before removing the

screws.
removing the motor half of the

from dowel pin at the top, tilt out and
to clear gears and then lift up so as to

clear the course knobs and to prevent damage to
the
gears.
Place
aside for later disassembly.
Set telescope quadrant
at maximum
sighting
This removes the
tension
that the mirror
return spring applies to the cable.
Loosen the
anchor screw and
remove cable from
the number l
With an orange stick pull the cable through
the right cardan gudgeon bearing.

Remove taper pin
from No. 5
sheave.

b. Loosen anchor
screws and remove cable from
No. 5 sheave.
Care should
be used
in removing
bronze
so as not to fray or kink it.
1.
Remove two screws holding yoke and lift out
yoke and sheave.
1. Remove right cardan
gudgeon locking nut with
3/8 wrench
furnished
for that purpose.
1. Remove the three
flexible leads from the end
to the cardan at the cardan.
Drive
fiber wedges
between the cardan and case
