Brushes

1.

Clean carbon brushes with alcohol orcarbon

tet.

2.

Brushes should make a minimun of 85% con-

tact with

the commutator. ifthe

brush does not

make 85%

contact

use a

sharp too! to scrape the

high

spots on the brush.

The high spots will be

bright while the rest of the brush will be dull.

Always

"run

in" brush after. scraping.

Then

check

brush and clean commutator with clean white cloth

and moisten with carbon

tet.

3.

Replace brush

exactly as

it was before removal

from tube.

4. The brush plug should extend 1/4 from the

end of the brush tube.
