Disassembly.
Remove assembly from sight case, 7 screws.
Check
for shims.
Remove
locking
nuts and
spring (M-6).

Remove taper pin in turn knob and remove
knob.

B. Reassembly

Replace turn worm and shaft.

turn knob and taper pin.
3. Replace intermediate gear housing cover,

Replace turn worm shaft bearing, 4 screws.

locking nuts and
spring (M-6).

Turn nuts down and then back off 1/2
a revolution.
This should give .003"
end play.

When replacing course
knob assembly
there should be no play
or binding
between turn worm
and stabilized

the turn worm binds,
shim
between the course knob assembly and
the
sight case.

Shim

remove . 00l" at a time
until proper clearance is obtain-
ed.

between the shaft
bracket and the rate end hous-
ing. The shims between the bracket
must be the same thic!-
as those between the
and the turn worm housing or the
drift shaft will bind.
if there is play or binding between
drift worm and the drift, loosen
screw in the
intermediate gear
housing and position drift worm
housing
untilthe play or binding is
eliminated.
