A. Bombsight

A. Disassembly
1. Tap out taper pin in bombsight clutch connecting
rod stud.
a. Remove collar.
b. Remove connecting rod.
2. Remove collar spring adjusting nut and collar
spring.
3. Tap pin from clutch adjusting eccentric and
collar lever.
4. Loosen screw in collar lever and remove collar
lever from eccentric.
5. Remove eccentric.
6. Tap taper pin from collar strap shaft.
a. Remove collar.
b. Tap out shaft.
c. Remove collar strap.
7. Remove toggle spring strap.
Whenever an assembly is disassembled always clean
the parts and oil if necessary before
re-assembly. (See Section IV for maintenance).
B. Reassembly
1. Assemble collar strap and toggle spring strap.
2. Replace collar strap shaft, collar, and taper
pin. (The punch marks on collar and shaft
indicate large disc of taper pin hole.)
3. Replace eccentric.
4. Replace collar lever.
a. Line up pin holes and tighten screw.
b. Insert pin.
5. Reinstall collar spring and adjusting nut.
6. Place connecting rod on stud being certain that
bevel of the clevis is toward stabilized sector
of the bombsight.
