The disc must be kept free of dirt and dust.
Clean with benzine
or alcohol.
Rub dry with clean
white cloth.
Apply a film of light bombsight oil.
Remove, with
a clean white cloth,
all excess oil.
Oil the
smooth bearing on the disc shaft and the
tachometer shaft
bearing with one drop of light
oil if
removed
cleaned.
DO NOT OVEROIL. NEVER USE AN ABRASIVE ON THE
DISC.
The spring tension on the disc is tested by a
2lb. weight.
Check for freedom of movement.
If knobs do
not move
freely,
disassemble and
clean

alcohol
or carbon tetrachloride.
