B. Reassembly
1. Replace bearings
2. Place gyro in cardan.
3. Insert gudgeons.
CAUTION: When replacing the gudgeon pins,
align the bearing with the gud-
geon by lifting and holding the
gyro in place. The gudgeon
should work freely. If one
binds, remove and check for
dirt and burrs.
4. Replace center gudgeon locking screw on
locked bearing side. The locked gudgeon
bearing on the stabilizer is next to the
isolated sector. Always replace center
gudgeon locking screw on locked bearing
side first; otherwise the tension of the
stabilizer brush on the isolated sector
will be incorrect.
5. Insert four (4) gudgeon cap screws and
tighten evenly.
6. Replace stabilizer brush, i. e. isolated sec-
tor contact brush.
7. Replace bails.
8. Connect flexible leads.
