Sight gyro and cradle stabilization

The vertical gyro, common cardan and telescope cradle as connected in the shared sight model.

Follow the mechanism

The cardan carries the gyro and cradle together. The connecting rod preserves their physical relationship in this mechanism study.

Spin the rotor and tilt the cardan to distinguish the axes, or remove the gyro case and separate the groups to inspect their nesting.

The gyro case, field, armature and brushes follow the source drawings and museum views. The telescope remains a simplified context model; this study does not claim an optical prescription or a calibrated stabilizing simulation.

Geometry follows the cited drawings and photographs. Unmeasured dimensions remain approximate; exploded spacing reveals existing model groups rather than a prescribed disassembly procedure.
