Motor governor and breaker linkage

The crossed governor arms, sliding collar and connecting rod that move the telescope motor’s breaker arm.

Follow the mechanism

Change governor extension to follow the rigid arms and pinned links as they draw the collar toward the motor.

The collar turns with the governor. A stationary guide and connecting rod transmit its axial movement to the breaker lever, separating the electrical contacts.

Rotate or separate the assembly to inspect the moving parts inside the open housing. Rotation and extension are independent inspection controls; they do not simulate centrifugal forces or regulated motor speed.

A proportional reconstruction using the Lowry manual, an exposed motor photograph and an earlier Barth patent. Exact production revision, dimensions, spring forces and contact travel remain unverified.

Geometry follows the cited drawings and photographs. Unmeasured dimensions remain approximate; exploded spacing reveals existing model groups rather than a prescribed disassembly procedure.
