Cross-trail linkage
The simplified relationship between the eccentric setting, sight-stem rotation, transverse slide and telescope.
Follow the mechanism
With no eccentric offset, rotation produces no transverse stroke.
Increasing the offset introduces the slide movement, which the fixed-length connecting rod transmits to the telescope. The rod remains connected throughout the demonstration.
Geometry follows the cited drawings and photographs. Unmeasured dimensions remain approximate; exploded spacing reveals existing model groups rather than a prescribed disassembly procedure.

Physical slide-bracket context only; exploded clearances not used as installed geometry. Separate Fig.35 factory owns detailed installed linkage.

Printed p.112. Simplified mechanism above a conceptual aircraft/ground diagram; only the mechanism is reconstructed.

Printed p.113. Describes offset disc, rotating stem, transverse carriage and connecting link to cradle; not dimensions.

Contrasts centered and offset disc. Zero offset has no transverse carriage movement under stem rotation.
