Cradle mirror and sector drive
The pivoted mirror, open gear sector, integral shaft pinion and supporting brackets beneath the telescope.
Follow the mechanism
The mirror and sector turn together about a common shaft. The pinion meshes with the sector and turns in the opposite direction.
Turn the mirror or play the limited sweep, then separate the groups to inspect the support brackets, mirror frame and drive sector.
This is the same geometry used on the telescope-cradle page. The detail study holds the cradle fixed; it does not simulate the complete cable and spring system.
The optical section establishes a moving mirror, prism and telescope relationship. Lens dimensions, optical prescription, exact tooth counts and a calibrated sight-angle scale remain unverified.
Geometry follows the cited drawings and photographs. Unmeasured dimensions remain approximate; exploded spacing reveals existing model groups rather than a prescribed disassembly procedure.
